I have kept my web site available for the convenience of those who have an interest in my books and may wish to contact me. I am still dealing with the after effects of my bout with cancer. Right now my major problem is nerve damage, which has affected my ability to maintain my balance when walking. Things are getting batter, but so very slowly. I have been receiving notices of comments on my site. These have been coming from people who are apparently unaware that this is not a dating site. For those of you who are writing in a language other than English, please understand that I do not know your language and am unable to respond. Thank you all and best of everything to you.

I have listed my works with a new distributor who works on commission, and they are already earning their money.  My books are selling well, especially one of my westerns.  I look forward to good things from this new association.

Thanks for stopping by.

Very busy right now.  My writing group's conference is in two weeks and, as registrar, things are getting hectic for me.  However, I am looking forward to the event as we are trying a new format this year and it will be interesting to see how it goes over.

Bad news from a recent eye exam.  I can no longer delay surgery for my cataracts.  I am dreading this, but have no choice.  It is scheduled for June, and I'm afraid I will be pretty much out of commission the entire month.  But my doctor thinks it is very possible that, after the operation, I will no longer need the glasses I have worn all my life.  I'm scared, but tell myself that many other people have gone through this with positive results and there's no reason I should be any different.  Between now and then, and the conference, I hope to get as much as possible done on my current western.

As usual, as much as I can in the snatches of time I have available, I am busy promoting my books and am getting very positive feedback in that area.  Busy, busy, busy.

Thanks for stopping by.

March begins on an exciting note.  Last month I received my first royalty check and, believe me, I was thrilled.  Today a new site, which I recently joined, notified me that they have sold two of my novels.  Tomorrow Smashwords will start Read an Ebook Week, and I am participating with discounted novels and free short stories.

I am also hard at work on my next western novel.  It involves characters from Shadow of the Rope, and I'm debating whether or not to consider the two a series.  Can't decide, but I like the characters and see a possible future for them.  Will have to think on it.  Anyway, the storyline is more involved than I expected, and I really have to think about fitting everything in so that it all comes together at the end just like flowing through the neck of a sieve.

The other day, I was talking about breakfast and could not for the life of me form the words "English muffin."  Aware that such memory lapses have dire implications, it concerned me, until I realized that perhaps the reason I could not think of the name of the little round bready thingy is because my mind was on causes, symptoms and treatment of consumption in the latter part of the nineteenth century; or perhaps because I needed to find out just when paper dollar bills came into general use in this country (1862), so that if I was to have my hero pay his board bill, I would know if he needed coins or paper money.  Considering what was occupying my mind, it didn't bother me so much that I was unable to come up with "English muffin."  So there.

See you later; probably next month.

I have made a good start on my new western novel but am constantly being sidetracked with the dreary need to check my facts.  Also, I have a character going from Point A to Point B in a roundabout way and am dealing with the need to avoid mentioning towns that didn't exist when my story takes place.  Bummer.

A new feature here is a universal link to my Amazon author page for your convenience:)

Thank you for stopping by.

I have a good start on my new western novel.  Research is just about complete and I have written most of the first chapter.  Good news this morning:  a site I recently joined has just sold one of my westerns, Trail of Vengeance.  This was a kick-off sale for them and I'm glad they started with a beautiful story such as Trail.  Speaking of Trail, I developed a new cover, lighter than the original, and showcasing the area where the story is set.  Well, back to work.

I am excited about the Christmas offering of my first series novel, Tainted Legacy, and my latest short story, The Case of the Pilfered Painting.  Both will be discounted the week before Christmas, Tainted Legacy as part of Amazon's Countdown program, and The Case of the Pilfered Painting with a Smashwords coupon.  The short story is a cozy, the same genre as another short story, Temporarily Away, that is selling well.  If you find yourself at odds over the holiday season, stop in and check out either of these offerings.  Happy Holidays to all.

Exciting time...

The August 6 interview feature on Sharon Stevenson's blog was very well done.  Thank you, Sharon.

This month has two exciting events occurring.  I have joined AskDavid, a super promotion site I learned about through my reading group.  I just reviewed my listings; everything looks great and launches today.

Another site, Uncovered Books, which is brand new and launches on August 26, will also showcase my works.

I am excited about having my work represented on these sites and gaining access to the many markets in which they participate.

Looking forward to good things happening soon.

Thank you for stopping by.
